What is anti-wrinkle injection?

Anti-wrinkle injection uses a purified protein, which acts on the muscle-nerve junction by blocking its action thereby relaxing the muscles of facial expression and diminishing their pull on the overlying skin, creating a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Many changes associated with facial aging can be caused by over activity of the underlying muscles. With time, these muscles leave skin lines or wrinkles resulting from patterns of facial expression. On upper face, anti-wrinkle injection is used to reduce frown lines; horizontal forehead lines and crows feet. In experienced hands such as in our clinic Restore Cosmetic Surgery, we can also use it for brow lift; “lipstick bleed” lines and reducing nasolabial crease; facial reshaping and slimming of the lower face; and even create a leaner and more feminine shoulder line.

This method of treatment can be used in conjunction with other methods of nonsurgical rejuvenation to achieve a variety of aesthetic goals.
