What should I expect during first visit?
The best and only way to find out if cosmetic surgery is right for you, is to consult Dr Michael Xu, who will listen to your need, and examine you and provide you with educated advise. Dr Michael Xu can tell you what you need to know about the procedure you are interested in, or recommend another to meet your needs and goals.
During your initial visit, the doctor will explain the specific procedure you want, help you visualize the results and go over the risks. Although complications are rare, all surgeries, especially those that involve anaesthesia, carry some risks. Dr Michael Xu will outline these for you based on the specific procedure.
Will I have a scaring after surgery?
Surgical scars are embarrassing and some scars are very tough they cannot be eliminated easily. People opting for cosmetic surgeries may have a question ‘Do the cosmetic surgeries leave the scars in place?’ Cosmetic surgeries are performed to improve the aesthetic appearance and therefore surgical practitioners make all their efforts to minimise or hide the scars. They hide the scars in the folds of the skin, under the hairline or close incisions in a way that it leaves very minimal scars and are not easily visible.
Nature of scars after cosmetic surgeries depends on the skin type and healing capabilities of an individual. Some scars may vanish over time; some may require moderate care and some scars need appropriate treatments such as topical applications, dermabrasion and scar revision surgery.
